Drinking the recomended amount of protien shakes doesn’t hurt your liver bud. Protien in shake form is very good for your body. Especialy when taken with excersise. Of all the harmful foods we put in our bodies these days protien shakes should be considered a step in the right direction.

  • chrisdotwynn said,

as for the thyroid, I agree, you have to be a complete idiot to mess with it, but people do in the name of muscle, lol.

  • chrisdotwynn said,

Too much of anything is bad for you. If you take protein shakes in the recommended doses you will be fine. Over do it,(just like if you over do anything) then you might face some complications. Protein is by no means bad for you though.

  • chrisdotwynn said,

Not true at all! You are NOT giving yourself an “abnormal” amount of proteins if you are taking it in the recommended servings. Also, your body won’t metabolize anymore than about 35-40g of protein in one sitting anyway(which is about the recommended dosage on all protein shakes), so any extra protein you intake is going away as fat storage. Its EASIER on your system to drink a protein shake mixed with water than a steak is. Steak is much harder on the intestines and whatnot in the long run.

  • Rearbottoms said,

The human body knows exactly what it wants. Pump it with extra substances, and you’re forcing it. So the healthiest way is to eat properly, maybe a bit more if you want muscular mass, but that should be all. Now don’t tell me you can’t look good w/o proteins, cause there are infinte examples of people that look great only by eating and going to the gym. Of course, they prolly won’t win international contests, but they can have a very ‘hot’ body. But ehough about this..

  • LosinInIdaho said,

Sorry you are still wrong, the only time it can be hard is if you are not drinking enough water. And in addition to that its really only hard if you have other comorbidities, like kidney failure, diabetes, CHF, cirrhosis, or another form of liver failure. In general the average person will have no trouble with large quantities of protein in their diet. I did not say how effective the large amount of protein is, I am just saying its not hard on the liver unless you have other health problems.

  • Rearbottoms said,

I suggest you stop lol-ing and inform yourself. The liver is the organ that has to deal with what you eat. A large quantity of FOOD in general (especially not healthy food) is bad for the liver. Administrating proteins in large quantities makes “his job” harder. I’m not saying you’ll die, I’m saying it will weaken it and, yes, maybe you’ll have problems over the years.

  • LosinInIdaho said,

Um you are wrong about what you said in regards to protein and your liver….lol very wrong.

  • Rearbottoms said,

I am aware proteins are found in food, but there are some products you can buy that are basically pure proteins (or smth). You mix’em with water, drink them 3 times a day or so. I think you know what I mean. Personally, I don’t find that very natural, as you’re giving your body an abnormal amount of proteins. It’s bad for the liver and not only that. And by the by… I don’t know who would be so out of his mind to play with the tyroid gland…

  • chrisdotwynn said,

Things that are considered not natural are Insulin,Thyroid drugs, Diuretics(but its only used during contests,) Anabolic Steroids, HGH, and the absolutely disgusting Synthol. Protein is 100% natural, and it is in every meat you eat, not to mention nuts and in some plants like soy. He probably just eats his 6+ small meals a day, high in protein and low in carbs, and hits the gym religiously(like every man is supposed to.) Its possible to look like that natural, it just takes hard work!

  • chrisdotwynn said,

Maybe you think that him getting bigger is too much, but as a lifter myself, I don’t believe there is a such thing as “too big.” I’m gonna lift until my body decides to give out on me, and judging by his physique, I’m sure he agrees with me. Many would agree with you though. There really is no right or wrong answer about what should be the muscular stopping point, only personal opinions. And dude, protein IS natural, haha!

  • Rearbottoms said,

After you get to a certain point, and you have enough muscular mass, you can continue the training with certain exercises to mentain what you achieved, and concentrate on defining the tissue; that means more reps, less weights => no muscular mass increase, but more definition=>better aspect. Of course, he prolly wants to be very big, but imo that’s too much. Before pics+exercises i mentioned before = just perfect. And, he said he made that naturally; dunno, looks like proteins to me. Nvm though.

  • chrisdotwynn said,

Yeah it is, you have to maintain that physique once you get it. You can’t just go to the gym, get big, and then quit. Lifting is a life long journey my friend. You can take small breaks here and there, but for the most part, its a lifetime commitment.

  • Rearbottoms said,

it’s not, that’s why I’m going to the gym myself. But if my “before” shots looked like that, there was no use of going anymore.

  • chrisdotwynn said,

How do you think he got to that “before” shot? He definitely didn’t do so sitting on the coach eating cheez its. The gym IS NOT a waste of time man

  • Pewnster69 said,

    Fail.

  • Rearbottoms said,

First 2 pics are from “BEFORE”? Cause you looked ok, I don’t see why you’re wasting time with going to the gym. Whatever.

  • zdo5p said,

amazing! i wanna get like that!
