Breakfast on the Go

Posted by NoChubbyHubby on June 16, 2009

Running late for work? Trying to get the kids off to school? Do these scenarios sound familiar? Too often, the pace of everyday life leaves us with little time to cook and prepare healthy meals — especially breakfast. Often, it seems easier to grab a bagel or doughnut on the way to the office or even skip breakfast altogether. But both of these practices can sabotage your healthy lifestyle. Eating refined carbs are likely to cause cravings to return, and skipping breakfast may encourage you to overeat throughout the day. Fortunately, there are a number of delicious South Beach Diet–approved breakfast options that are perfect for eating on the go. Here, some Phase-specific choices:

Day 2 – Not so good!

Posted by NoChubbyHubby on March 24, 2009

If I have many day like this I want meet my goal! First thing over slept this mourning so was not able to go to the gym. Oh well i figured I would make it up this evening. WRONG – got tied up with business and before I knew it it was 8:30. The one positive thing was I controlled what I ate. An egg and sliced of Canadian bacon for breakfast, A ham sandwich for lunch (no mayo or chips), and one small serving of spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will do better

Day 1 – The Journey Begins!

Posted by NoChubbyHubby on March 23, 2009

Okay I have now officially started this journey to become NoChubbyHubby.

Yesterday we signed up for a new family membership at the New Lifetime Fitness in Atascocita, Texas. The club membership is a little pricey compared to 24 Hour Fitness or Bailey’s but it is extremely nice.  Not only is it new but it offers a lot of amenities than your typical fitness center. As I said we did a family membership although I’m the only want that has a weight problem but everyone wants to help and support me. Beside exercise is good for us all and will keep us healthy, right?

So today was the 1st worked-outs. I probably over did it, I spent an hour at this morning and another hour and half this evening at the gym. My goal during the 16 weeks is exercise no less than 2 hours a day. I know this seems like a lot but I have a long way to go.

I need to find a program to follow, but which one? It seems there are hundreds of them and they all promise great results. I’m think I will probably follow “The Body for Life”, but not sure yet. I’m going to research more programs this week and make my decision this weekend.
